Monday is Veteran’s Day. Belleville and Nutley government offices, post offices and state government offices are closed.

The Belleville township committee meets on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at town hall.

Dr. Richard Jackson, pediatrician and author of the book/television series Designing Healthy Communities, will speak about how design influences health at his talk "We are What We Build: Designing A Healthier Community!" The Nutley native and member of the Nutley Hall of Fame 2005 speaks at the Nutley Museum at the Nutley Museum on 65 Church St. at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

From 7 p.m to 11 p.m. on Friday, Boy Scout Troop 142 will be collecting unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots drive at the parks and recreation building.

The Belleville Rotary club holds its annual chocolate turkey hunt Saturday at Claremont field at School #8. The family activities include face painting and sweets
