See the wonders of nature through the lens of local shutterbug Richard Huelbig at the Nutley Public Library. An exhibition of the cameraman's work now showing spotlights outdoor and wildlife photography taken in Rocky Mountain National Park last June. Bloomfield offers a Meet and Greet with Town Administrator Ted Ehrenburg Saturday at 10 a.m. The Bloomfield Neighborhood Association event, being held on the second floor of the Bloomfield Municipal Police Building at Montgomery and Franklin streets, will give residents an opportunity to get to know the recently hired public official and to ask questions and air concerns regarding local government matters.
This is a red-letter weekend for area jazz fans: The Montclair Jazz Festival comes to Nishuane Park on Cedar Avenue Saturday for an all-day musical excursion. Hosted by multi-Grammy winner Christian McBride and produced by Jazz House Kids with support in part from stage sponsor City National Bank, the free, rain or shine family-friendly event features world-class acts including McBride with special guests Kenny Barron and Carl Allen, Anat Cohen and the Choro Ensemble, Oscar Perez Nuevo Comienzo with special guest Melissa Walker, The Ed Palermo Big Band Band doing "Zappa & More," Freddie Hendrix Septet and the Jazz House Kids Large Ensembles. For the kids, you'll find the Family Jazz Discovery Zone with partners Montclair Library and the Montclair Art Museum. For imbibers, there will be a beer tent sponsored by North Coast Brewing Co.
