I discovered Mari's Cakes from an old grammar school friend of mine. She posted a review about her cake and was quite detailed. I was in the process of finding a bakery who can make a LEGO cake for my son but I didn't just want a cake to look good, I wanted it to taste good. I found a bakery in WNY through the recommendation of another friend of mine. Her cakes were beautiful, big and pretty cheap. I figured, well they look good and look how many people are buying them. As a trial, I ordered a Valentine's Day cake. I got a HUGE cake for $22!! Well, that would've been great IF I didn't end up throwing more than half away. The cake was awful. Long story short (LOL), I ordered the LEGO cake from Maria with fingers crossed. WELL!!! Not only was my son's cake so CUTE the cake was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The cake was oh so moist, the filling, just right, not too sweet, not to thick, flavor combination was outstanding and the cream was perfect! Everyone at my house loved the cake. There was no leftovers and not a ounce was discarded!! I'm on my 3rd order with Maria and I would never go anywhere else (unless she tells me she's booked :( Tasting is believing!!
