Nutley Cops: Woman Arrested After Stealing Pills from Job

West Orange woman allegedly stole 100 prescription pills.

Nutley police have arrested a West Orange woman for allegedly stealing a bottle containing 100 prescription pills from her place of business.  According to a Nutley police report, Dena Dufault, 37, was arrested on March 26 after taking a sealed prescription bottle containing a schedule IV manufactured medication. A West Orange resident of that name listed her profession as a former ShopRite pharmacy technician in a Facebook profile. Schedule IV drugs include Xanax and Valium, according to the Drug Enforcement Agency. Nutley police did not specify what kind of drug Dufault allegedly took. Two Men Charged After Bar Brawl

Providence Bar was also charged for violations following large fight.

Two men were arrested on multiple charges after a fight outside a Belleville bar that attracted a large and reportedly unruly crowd, authorities said.  A fight broke out between two men at the Providence Bar on Heckel Street on Feb. 15 shortly after 1 a.m, according to Belleville police. The scuffle reportedly spilled out into the street, with bar patrons rushing outside to watch. According to police records, Belleville officers, responding to a report of a large, noisy disturbance, arrived as the two men were assaulting each other. When the officers tried to separate the two men, they reportedly turned on the police, pushing the officers and flailing their arms. New Police Initiative Takes 76 Guns Off Northern Jersey Streets

A new collaborative crackdown on gun violence in northern Jersey has netted 405 arrests and taken 76 weapons off streets since May, authorities announced Wednesday in Newark. The Passaic River Corridor Initiative, an effort between New Jersey State Police and law enforcement agencies in Essex, Hudson, Bergen and Passaic counties, has also helped the Division of Criminal Justice obtain 18 indictments charging 28 people with various weapons charges, including illegal gun trafficking and possession. "Each gun we see as a result of this initiative is potentially a lifesaver," said Attorney General Jeffrey S. Chiesa.
