Nutley to Host Art on the Avenue
Board of Commissioners considering waiving the peddlers' license fees for the event.
Nutley is inviting artists, photographers, sculptors and painters to a new event – Art on the Avenue, tentatively scheduled for this October. The idea was proposed by Commissioner Steven Rogers, who said he’d like to schedule Art on the Avenue for on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The art display would take place in the pedestrian walkways adjacent to municipal parking lots 1 and 2. Artists will have the unique opportunity to display their works in the heart of Nutley’s downtown area with the option to sell to the public, he said. “There are so many talented artists in our area,” Rogers said in a statement. “This event is a unique way of displaying their talents for our community’s enjoyment.
