'Vigilant' Nutley Police Catch Bank Robbery Suspect
Township man allegedly held up Clifton bank early this month
Nutley police investigating a suspicious vehicle Jan. 10 arrested a township man suspected of a bank robbery in Clifton earlier this month. Patrolling officers spotted a car parked in front of a closed business on Washington Avenue around 1:38 am, Nutley police said. A check of the plate revealed it to be invalid, police said. Police then saw the car slowly drive away and stopped it, questioning the driver, identified as 48-year-old Wayne Winner, NorthJersey.com reported.
