Nutley Hosts Prescription Drug Take Back on Saturday
People can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Nutley Police headquarters on April 27.
Nutley will host a prescription drug takeback this weekend. The Nutley Police Department will take part in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Public Safety Building at 228 Chestnut St. The service is free and anonymous, and no questions will be asked. According to a notice on Nutley's website, the goal of the program is to allow the citizens of New Jersey to deliver all of their unused, unwanted, or expired medications to law enforcement officials who can in turn dispose of these controlled substances in a safe and non-hazardous manner, preventing these pills from falling into the hands of juveniles or into the illicit market in our communities.
