School No. 3 Adopts Families for Holidays
HSA Partners With St. Peter's to Give Clothing to Needy Children
When the School No. 3 Home and School Association started assisting St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church “Adopt a Family” program last year, its aim was simple and impactful: ensuring that each child on the church's list received at least one thing they requested this holiday season. However, instead of simply distributing toys, the program serves as a new clothing drive focusing on necessities as basic as a pair of socks or a package of t-shirts. Through St. Peter's, the School No. 3 HSA received a list and assisted 48 children representing 16 families, with vice presidents Ana Courney and Carolyn Guancione dropping off the clothing collected to the church Friday morning.
